Dear Prime Minister,

In the lead up to the Paris climate change summit Australia must do more to help ensure that global temperature rise is kept below 2°C.

Our current emissions reduction pledges (5% below 2000 levels by 2020 and 26–28% below 2005 levels by 2030) are among the weakest among all developed nations. The world's combined pledges still leave us on track for extreme warming of 3°C or higher. We can and must do more.

I ask you to increase Australia's emissions reduction targets, pledge additional support to help the poorest nations adapt to climate change, and increase investment in renewable energy.

In Paris, in December, world leaders will make their pledges to reduce emissions and fight climate change. Australia is not yet pulling its weight on climate action and the world is still on a pathway to dangerous climate disruption.

Tell our leaders that Australia must do more!
