Can you help us thank your political representative Anna Burke MP?

Recently Anna Burke MP of Chisholm has spoken on Australian Aid and we’d like to say thanks.

In Parliament Anna Burke MP spoke of Australian Aid:

I am pleased to regularly meet with people from the Oaktree foundation; Vision Generation, World Vision Australia's youth movement; Oxfam; CBM Australia; Leprosy Mission Australia; the TEAR action group; and a range of local churches and community groups united by their commitment to alleviate poverty. They regularly raise their concerns about Australian commitment to foreign aid. They have been devastated by the successive cuts to Australia's foreign aid budget since 2013. The millennium goal of reaching a foreign aid commitment of 0.5 per cent of GNI seems further and further out of reach.

Whenever a politician engages with the issues we all care passionately about, it’s important to encourage, thank, or even challenge them. It doesn't mean we support that politician, or endorse everything they say. But if they don’t hear from passionate people in their electorate when they do speak up, it’s easy for them to give up, get cynical, or assume their electorate doesn’t care about Australian aid.
