Can you help us thank your local representative Lisa Chesters MP?

Recently Lisa Chesters MP questioned the Government cuts to Australian Aid and we’d like to say thanks.

In Parliament Lisa Chesters said:

Cambodia is one of the poorest nations in our region, and it relies heavily on Australia's support. Australian aid is giving some of Cambodia's poorest and most disadvantaged people the capacity to make positive change in their lives. The Liberal government has cut $11 billion from the Australian aid program in just two budgets.

Whenever a politician engages with the issues we all care passionately about, it’s important to encourage, thank, or even challenge them. It doesn't mean we support that politician, or endorse everything they say. But if they don’t hear from passionate people in their electorate when they do speak up, it’s easy for them to give up, get cynical, or assume their electorate doesn’t care about Australian aid.

After sending an email to Lisa Chesters you can send them a quick tweet or share on facebook what they said by clicking the buttons below.
